SYLVAN PARK
Close to downtown with some of the fastest rising home prices
SKYROCKETING PRICES & OPPORTUNITIES
Have you heard of Sylvan Park? Neither had I until I really started looking for a house for myself. Sylvan Park is one of those neighborhoods that really wasnt on the Nashville Radar till recent years. Why this neighborhood is so attractive is its convenience to West End, Green Hills, Belle Meade and Downtown.
The neighborhood is filled with opportunity for fixer uppers and flippers. It is an exciting neighborhood with young families and single people alike. Its proximity to all the local colleges, nightlife, and eateries has made this area a hot destination over night which is complimented by the continued booming development throughout Nashville. This neighborhood makes you feel right at home.
One of the main reasons I get excited about Sylvan Park is its small town feel. It's littered with a vibrant assortment of local shops and eateries that always keep you coming back for more. If you’re cruising down murphy road you begin to notice all the different color front porch swings where locals soak up the Vitamin D while sipping their momma's homestyle sweet tea. The neighborhood strip cruising is always a fan favorite but it doesn't compare to the authentic local Nashville food pit stops along the Sylvan Park strip.
As you’re coming to the end of Murphy Road you can’t help but notice all the lines of cars packed on both sides of the street. People criss-crossing in front of the car trying to get first in line at their favorite local lunch spot of the week. Whether it’s the Local Taco or good ole McCabes Pub every table inside and out on the strip is packed with people happy to wait in line for the good grub. It really makes me hungry just thinking about it.
The local grub isn’t the only thing that keeps people coming back to Sylvan Park. If you need to shed those delicious hand battered onion rings from the pub just go hit the greenway or loosen up for your afternoon tee time at the driving range. Both of which are walking distance away from your local lunch spot.I don't know about you but I wasn't the kind of guy to just go “hit the Greenway” after stuffing his face full of some good grub on the strip.
One of my lunch buddies told me to check the green way out... I wish you could have seen the look of lunch cramp despair on my face. Much to my surprise, the Greenway turned out to be one of my favorite places in Nashville. It is a paved 4.5-mile trail filled with joggers, golfers, college kids, and furry friends of all kinds. It’s kind of like the afternoon social scene where you always see similar and new faces when you’re shedding those onion rings.
Everyone has this high energy positive vibe about them that is contagious and actually makes you want to “hit the Greenway”. You can be an average social brisk walker to a master jogger with thigh huggers on. Just stay to the right so you don’t get run over. This fun little neighborhood has transformed into a real estate dream and the lucky ones fortunate enough to live there really know how treasured Sylvan park is. It’s a neighborhood I would not hesitate to invest in.
If fortunate enough to afford a house in this trendy neighborhood you can be confident it has a bright future. Real estate values only continue to climb and its residents only continue to prosper from the booming economy of Nashville.
